Old Main Dormitory at Mississippi State University was, during its time, thought to be the largest dormitory in the nation. Sheltering more than 1,500 students in its 512 rooms, it was the architectural centerpiece of campus— a cherished landmark to thousands of alumni who spent their college years in the unique residence hall.

The iconic dormitory stood strong until the early hours of the morning on Friday, January 23, 1959, after the building was engulfed in an inextinguishable, towering blaze that could be seen for miles.From MSU Films comes a tribute to the legendary residence hall that will take viewers back more than 60 years for a look at an iconic campus landmark.
